Federal Planning Bureau (FPB-BFP)
The Federal Planning Bureau (FPB) is a de facto independent federal public institution that supports political decision-making with objective figures and facts. The FPB does so by both making forecasts and analysing the policies implemented or planned in the economic, social and environmental fields. It also studies the relationship between these policy issues and sustainable development. The FPB receives its mandates from the federal Government, the federal Parliament and social partners, and also makes its scientific expertise available to regional, national and international institutions.
The FPB carries out its tasks independently, publishes the results of its studies and thus contributes to the democratic debate.
